ANSAB (Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresources) is an international non-governmental organization with its headquarters in Kathmandu, Nepal. Established in 1992, ANSAB is committed to biodiversity conservation and economic development through community based enterprise oriented solutions. ANSAB conducts its activities in the areas of Economic Development, Natural Resource Management, Policy, Research and Networking, and Capacity Building and Services.
ANSAB seeks to recruit candidates with the given requirements in the following positions:
- Data Analyst:
Required competence :
- Master’s degree in either Statistics, Forestry, Social or Computer Science with at least 1 years of experiences or Bachelor’s degree with more than 2 years of experience in the related field
- Proven experience and ability to design and use various research tools and analysis techniques
- Proven experience of data handling and data processing
- Experience on designing various research protocols
- Ability to design and conduct different socio economic research
- Proficient in statistical analysis and validation methodologies
- Excellent computer skill with proficiency in MS Access, Excel, SPSS, and other data analysis software
- Interested on the contemporary research
- Good analytical and report writing skill
- Forestry Officer:
Required competence :
- Master degree in Forestry with at least one year experience or Bachelors degree in Forestry with over three years of experience
- Knowledge on program planning, designing and implementation, related to forestry
- Knowledge on developing capacity building materials for partner organizations and stakeholders
- Experience in community based forestry
- Good team player, innovative and learning attitude
- Willingness to work in new forestry issues
- Proven knowledge on forest assessment and data analysis
- Willingness to make frequent travel and field visits
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills
- Associate Administrative Officer (Female) :
Main Responsibilities
- Receive visitors, handles faxes, mails, emails and other correspondence;
- Maintain staff attendance, monthly time sheet, and service billing system;
- Record and maintain the custody of all the office assets and equipments in good order;
- Oversee office/equipment maintenance and repair;
- Conduct general office procurements such as stationeries, equipment, furniture and other goods and services;
- Manage store inventory system and disbursement of supplies to staff;
- Manage and maintain ANSAB library, store and other publications;
- Assist in organizing trainings, workshops and other ANSAB general activities and provide logistic and administrative support to all the staff as and when required;
- Organize and maintain office files, folders and records;
- Assist in human resource management and development;
- Manage petty cash for office related work and make necessary travel arrangements as and when required;
- Supervise sub-ordinate /support staff and regularly report to the management; and
- Undertake required secretarial tasks
- Perform other duties assigned by MAF and Executive Director.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- At least a bachelor degree in business, social science or diploma in administrative management.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience with ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Prior experience in front desk, secretarial and administrative management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work duties as well as work competently under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in the use of information technologies and good computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office Package (MS Word, MS access, MS Excel)
- Fluency in both written and verbal Nepali and English.
