Invitation for the Consultancy Service for Pre-project KAP/ Baseline study of One Health Asia Programme

ANSAB is seeking a well qualified and experienced Consultant or Consultancy firm to conduct Pre-KAP (Knowledge, Attitude and Practice) and Baseline Study in the Chitwan, Rupandehi and Banke districts of Nepal.

Objectives of the work

The main objectives of the work are to:

  • Provide reliable baseline information which will be used as benchmarks against which changes and progress of achievements can be measured and evaluated using verifiable indicators presented in the logical framework during the project implementation.
  • Determine the Knowledge, Attitude and Practices (KAP) status on livestock health & husbandry, zoonoses and their impact on public health among the targeted beneficiaries.
  • Document the existing qualitative and/or quantitative values of the project indicators based on the given logical framework
  • Create better understanding of existing knowledge, attitudes and practices among the project beneficiaries and to describe the vulnerabilities and gaps
  • Generate baseline data on existing knowledge, attitudes and practices in the target districts as part of a framework for monitoring progress
  • Provide essential data for formulation of key messages and required areas of focus in awareness raising campaigns


  • A draft report and power point presentation highlighting the preliminary results & recommendations for discussion with the project team
  • A compiled version of final report (both baseline and pre-KAP studies) including differences in districts if any in standard format agreed with the project team; the report should also include brief profile of the districts under study
  • A hard copy of collected information
  • An e-copy of raw data and final version of both reports

  • A letter of interest (LOI) with a short capacity statement of organization or team
  • A brief proposal (including technical & financial) outlining how you plan to achieve the objectives as stated in the TOR within the given budget limit along with recently updated CVs of professionals
