Request for pre-proposal for academic thesis support to Master’s Degree Level students

With support from Aveda/Estee Lauder Companies, ANSAB has been implementing natural resources stewardship for community development program over the past few years. Project activities implemented under the program included construction of four drinking water and sanitation projects, upgrading of handmade paper value chain, strengthening of charcoal briquette enterprises and business, and supporting rural communities for their access to education. Direct beneficiaries of the clean drinking water project include 662 households and 250 schoolchildren in the project areas, handmade paper value chain include 51 community forest user groups (CFUG) covering 10,790 households and 16,877 ha of forest, and the charcoal-briquette includes over five community level enterprises and a national level lead marketing company.

As a part of its continuous support to the students for their academic thesis work, ANSAB request pre-proposal from the students enrolled in Nepali universities to assess the impacts of project activities in the communities where the program has been carried out. Details of the study title, beneficiaries, research objectives and study methodology along with number of funding and eligible criteria are listed in the document below. The application should build on considering all the research objectives provided within the budget limit of NRs. 75,000. The total number of funding is four (one student per each study). The students applying for the thesis support should be enrolled in the Masters degree level and are at the final year of their study. The thesis work need to be accomplished within December 2017.
