ANSAB is currently seeking qualified, dynamic and result-oriented persons for the following positions:

1. Position: Technical Officer – One Health
Duty Station: Butwal with frequent travel in project districts
Duration: 6 months
Required Number: 1

Qualification and Experience:

  • Masters in Veterinary Science with one year of experience or Bachelors in Veterinary Science with three years of experience
  • General understanding of zoonotic disease and associated risks
  • Good understanding of training cycle management including training design and delivery

Major roles and responsibilities:

  • Take lead role in designing disease surveillance and reporting system, in coordination with project implementation team
  • Organize monthly meetings for disease early warning system and establish local disease surveillance in each district
  • Assist Community Mobilization and Public Awareness Officer to develop their capacity on zoonotic diseases and associated risks
  • Act as a trainer/facilitator for delivering the training when needed
  • Assist in designing project publications, training and extension messages, and in preparation and dissemination of promotion and information materials related to zoonoses and public health for creating awareness

2. Position: Civil Engineer
Duty Station: Kathmandu with frequent field visit
Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
Required Number: 1

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with 2 years of project implementation experience at community level,or
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering (Overseer) and Bachelor in any discipline with 5 years of project implementation experience at community level

Major roles and responsibilities:

  • Manage inputs and human resources to ensure effective implementation of the program
  • Coordinate with village level, district level and national level concerned government agencies and civil society organizations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual report and other necessary reports as and when required
  • Document the project information in an organized way
  • Take part in different relevant forums representing ANSAB
  • Develop plan of action in consultation with program team and private partners active in the program implementation sites
  • Design, estimate and supervise in development of infrastructures esp. shelter, drinking water and irrigation
  • Facilitate demonstration of promising, cost efficient and effective infrastructures and technological options
  • Facilitate in procurement of relevant tools, equipment, and machineries
  • Provide training to local partners, community members and construction workers on technical aspects
